    It seemed that there is a .htaccess folder found on my domain root directory and my webhost support had renamed it and the problem solved.

    Yes, I did speak to my webhost namely hostgagor support yesterday before I posted the request for help. They told me to reinstall again…but I have done it once and the result is the same.

    Meanwhile I will try to talk to them again and would appreciate your further advise.
