In reply to: Several Issues with WordPress AdminHi Steven,
Thanks again for your input. I have already been through all of the troubleshooting issues with the theme and the plugins. Nothing changes — this was listed when I opened the topic. If you could read my full topic, it will give you more information that you may be able to discern what could be happening. I do have access to the wp-admin area, but I have to go about through Microsoft Edge or remove the login info after the bad re-direct. I will try to install the plugin healthcheck, but I don’t need to disable plugins and change the theme because I have already been through that step actually a couple of times.

In reply to: Several Issues with WordPress AdminThank you for your response Steve. However, I removed both the site URL and the home URL last night and still no change.
I do have one more item to add. I have both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome as browsers. The login page doesn’t work in Chrome, but does in Microsoft Edge. I tested it last night after my post.
However, the permalinks and the site URL and home URl still remain grayed out in Edge as well.

I used the wp-staging to create a clone of a website to do a complete redesign. I created the new site in a subdirectory cupcakes101.net/staging. The site has a new theme, new pages, e-commerce, and additional media. So it is extremely different from the original site. I know that the pro version is now out, but the $80 is steep for a small shop such as ours, and I only plan on doing this one time. What is the best way to handle all of the changes. I use UpdraftPlus to make a complete back up of the live site, but try to make a back up of the staging site does not seem to want to work. It is quite a much large file base and site.

In reply to: Can't Update Pages After WordPress 4.1 Update Get 404 Page ErrorPlease help. I had to make changes to my pages (not my posts/blog) on the backend (database). It seems there are issues with the latest version of WordPress. I have been through all of the troubleshooting steps and had my web host look as well, but have not been able to resolve the issue. Whenever I try to make changes it redirects to the 404 Error Page saying it can’t find the page, or that it is not available. I cannot change my permalinks to custom permalinks it defaults back to the Post Name setting. When I change to the Default setting, then I run into all kinds of trouble.

In reply to: Can't Update Pages After WordPress 4.1 Update Get 404 Page ErrorThank you for your response. I had already read through the supplied link several times to make sure I was not missing anything. I have been through all of the troubleshooting steps, I have done a manual update, I have flushed my cache, etc. but still to no avail. Thus, the reason I added the post. I am somewhat technically savvy, but not with code. The only thing I have not done is edit my htaccess file and I am not sure how to go about editing it appropriately. I would very much appreciate any assistance, I can be given. My website link in ‘http://www.cupcakes101.net‘. As described in the post, the issue is in the admin section of the website, so nothing can be seen on the front end. If anyone is willing to assist me, I can take and send screen shots as needed.

In reply to: [Spiffy Calendar] Jumpiness on hoverI have the same issue. However, I have added the
.calnk a:hover div.spiffy-popup { position:absolute;}
to my css and it did not resolve the issue. I am still getting the jumpiness or blurring on hover.
Any ideas? Please visit http://www.bedforddancecenter.com/newsevents/events-calendar/.
Thank you.
