this is the remainder of that widget code now that I removed that snippet from the end. Do you see any other problems with it? Or do I have yet another issue?

I have two goodreads widgets on the site, one on the footer of every page and one on the news page only in the right sidebar, are both of them messing with this, and what can I do about it? I don’t mind removing the one from the sidebar on the news page, but the one in the footer is important.

I am using the creativo theme and the only active plugins other than Snappy List are the following…AuthorSure, Jet Pack, Layer Slider WP, MOJO Marketplace, Slider Revolution, W3 Total Cache, and WPBakery Visual Composer. All plugins are updated…but I have been getting an error for a few days that I don’t understand for the W3 Total Cache that says ….”W3 Total Cache: Default settings are in use. The configuration file could not be read or doesn’t exist. Please save the settings to create the file.” Not sure what to do about it.

I created my list and named it. I put the short code in a sidebar widget on my blog page, then created the three others pages as instructed and placed their URL’s in the appropriate place in the plugin’s settings. Everything shows up as it should, but as I said when you fill out the form and press subscribe, nothing happens. I also tried placing the shortcode for the form on its own page, same results.

there is a plugin I want to use that is only guaranteed up to that version, it is the simplest and easiest for my purposes. I have tried to ask for help with it on here and by directly tweeting with the developer for a solution, but have gotten absolutely no response from either and I am tired and frustrated with all these others I have found that will work with the new version but as so complicated and three times more than my needs that I would rather just reinstall the older version of word press and use the simpler one I found which is call Snappy List.

Thanks, but I was just about to come in here and delete this…I am going to go with yet another theme…the thing that upsets me is I had a great theme that apparently the developer of decided to just check out and for whatever reason it decided to go haywire today…at any rate, I am just going to keep picking themes until I find one I can quickly make work since I really don’t have time to keep trouble shooting mundane stuff like background colors..but thanks again !!
