In reply to: WordPress 2.9.1 ignoring local time zone?Just had some luck changing my time zone from my city to the manual offset (UTC-6 for central timezone). Try using that setting if you aren’t already?

In reply to: [Plugin: Contextual Related Posts] Thumbnails not displayingEarlier when no thumbnail images were available for a post, a broken image would display even though I specified a default image URL. I figured out that if I put random text in the “Post thumbnail meta field” (even though I am not using thumbnail meta fields), my alternate image would display.

I’m in US Central time (and have the timezone in settings set accordingly), my server is in US Mountain time. All the current date features reflect UTC time and switch to the following day at 6pm local time.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contextual Related Posts] Thumbnails not displayingUpdate: it seems like once I edit each post and set the first image as the thumbnail using WordPress 2.9’s new thumbnail feature on the page that it displays properly.
The plugin still isn’t recognizing when no image is available and displaying the alternate image I’ve set in my Contextual Related Posts settings.
Nevermind, I hadn’t adjusted the plugin settings. It works now!

In reply to: [Plugin: ShowTime Slideshow] problems and questionsI am so excited for this plugin and it works initially (after installation through my WordPress admin), but doesn’t appear at all when I try to change the settings. When I tried installing manually and changing the folder name as you’ve mentioned, it doesn’t appear either.
I hope you can figure out what’s happening! I have been searching for an elegant and clean slide show like this for several months, once it’s functional it will be perfect.
