In reply to: changed usernameI guess I’m logged in, since I’m participating in this conversation. But I see nothing on my screen about “Admin” or “Dashboard.”
One of the suggestions at the sites to which you sent me advised checking the wp-config.php file.
BTW, the link there to “reset password by email” has been deleted.

In reply to: changed usernameApparently the automatically entered 12-character password worked. Now my question is: how can I change that to something I can remember?

In reply to: changed usernameAargh! I got a new password, but the site will not accept it. When I try again for “new password,” the site does not recognize the email address that you are using!
So: username stays same and cannot be changed; member-name is changed; but site seems to recognize only old email address. I am puzzled, but I do appreciate your efforts at helping.

In reply to: changed usernameSorry: reference is to this conversation we are having now. Yesterday I got mixed up between wp.com and wp.org. I wish to stay with wp.org, if I can get straightened out how to do that. I cannot find Dashboard on my .org page, for example. My domain is http://www.ernestkurtz.com.
Thank you.
