Ah, it did not work at the child theme’s folder. I had to move it to the parent theme’s folder.

I tried to deactivate many of the plugins, but it did not help. I accessed the plugin settings via the Plugins listing (there is a Settings link there).
I manually made a custom admin menu item that linked to a custom page on admin that listed all the plugin’s pages. I guess that works but is not as elegant a solution 🙂
