  • You may already know this, but I’ll comment anyway. The large images you’re seeing come from a slideshow that is created as follows: 1) Go to theme options-> General and select “display a slider of sticky posts on the front page” 2) create at least two sticky posts (Quick edit the post and select the box that says, “make this post sticky”. 3) Add a featured image to your sticky posts.

Then the slider will display each of the featured images in your sticky posts.

I am having the same problem. It isn’t plug-ins because I’m not trying to preview from my wordpress site, just from the wordpress.org website. Also, I have the same problem when accessing wordpress.org from my smartphone. It happens across browsers as well. I’ve tried Firefox, IE 8, Safari, Chrome, etc. It even happens occasionally with Twenty Eleven. It is also not repeatable, but seems to happen at random times. The only thing that’s predictable is that it will happen at some point when I select “parent page” or “about” that I’ll end up with some page display that is clearly not even associated with the theme I am previewing.
