@ckunderd the issue for me was that there was a setting inside of CPT UI on my Taxonomy called “Exclude from Search” that was set to True.
The setting will exclude the taxonomy from being included in Archive templates as well as regular Search pages. Switching this setting off allowed the Locations taxonomy to be seen by Elementor’s Archive Posts Widget.
