    I want to get rid of posts, comments and blogs.

    “Now you need to go into you them”e’s *page.php* and *single.php* files and remove the *comments template* .”

    I got to these pages… but don’t know what to delete? My current theme is Twenty thirteen. Then I don;lt know where to find single.php* and what to do?

    I still have one issue. If you go to my opening page http://www.kobusrudolph.co.za you will see at the bottom it still leaves an option :

    And this show on every page.
    (Just a friendly comment/question… When starting with WordPress and reading the WP manuals and “Getting Started” it says WP is a blogging programme, but you can just use pages if you only want to have an informative websit.So I thought it would be relative easy to get rid of the blogging on the web… but I really struggle to do so… and even after doing quite a bit of reading and research. If I only want to use the website to be informative and as a marketing tool, is WP still the website programme to use? Or should I take another route? Any suggestions?

    Thanks Barry… in my efforts I did saw that somewhere. Thanks. Will definitely look at that.

    I’ve removed a few widgets and that did help. Thanks for the advice.

    I appreciate your time and effort. Perhaps I don’t understand it correctly yet. I don;t want the public to be able to blog or post comments on the site. The site is in the development phase.. and I will learn as I go on. I just want to give info and then eventually will have an e-mail link if someone needs services of products. I have written some posts just to see how it works. But on the left menu for the future, I wont need :
    Recent posts
    Recent comments
    Archives or categories.. Am I right? They all have to do with Posts and blogging… not?

    I am trying to edit the menu, but it doesn;t show Post..only my pages I have created. I must be looking at the wrong menu. Pardon my inexperience
