In reply to: [Salon Booking System - Free Version] Booking rules not created/editableHi WPchef, Thanks for your prompt reply. After several tests I decided to remove and reinstall the plugin. This has resolved the issue. Must have been some sort of installation problem.
@cais, As I understand NextGen is a WordPress plugin isn’t it? It is YOUR API which is behaving differently on deleting images as opposed to deleting images through the admin page!
It would have been more honest to just acknowledge this and indicate whether or not this issue will be adressed. Instead you keep on diverting this to the user of the API without any offer to resolution.
Your latest reply just proved my point again.

In reply to: [Salon Booking System - Free Version] Booking rules not created/editableHi, I tried your recomendations onesmore, but without resolution.
This has been a very disappointing exprience. I have indicated the issue several times to Imagely and they keep on diverting the issue to the plugin supplier or forcing me to buy their solution. Fact remains that Imagely software does not remove the physical jpg files frm the webserver when deleted through an API call.
I hae entered a ticket directly with Imagely and they keep on closing this without a satifactory resolution.
I have given up and I am looking for an alternative gallery software now.
Thanks for your reply, I will put a report together en send it to you.

The problem surfaced by using a LR plugin by another author which i have contacted already before as stated above.
By our joint testing and trouble shooting we found that that it appears your NextGEN Gallery WP plugin uses two completely different algorithms when deleting images through the admin dashboard and via the API. The API call simply removes the association between the physical file and the gallery, and leaves the JPEG file, its backup copy, and all rendered thumbnails behind, untouched.
This is in our opinion a NexGen issue with you NextGen Gallery Plugin, more specifically with the way the API handles the delete images functionality.
If this is not the place to address this, then please let me know the right place.

Thanks!
I changed the language from NL to US which gave smaller text and the made the view as small as possible (I already tried making the view bigger without result). Then i could change the setting!
Thanks again!
Thanks for your reply!
The script as activated at tools/nextgen gallery reset only resets to defaults. I have no other other options there.
I have also changed to basic theme Twenty Ten and twenty Sixteen. In both cases the radio buttons are overwritten by the test of the line above.
Any other idea’s?
I have a similar problem. I want to disable the backup images as well, but I cannot change the back-up option in the gallery/other options screen. The yes/no radio buttons are there but are being overwritten by the corresponding text. Therefore the buttons cannot be changed by mouse click. (i tested this with MS Edge, Chrome and Firefox browsers, with all the same display/selection issue)
I have executed the above reset procedure, but this did not change the the back-up option from yes to no. I presume the back-up YEs is the default since all other settings changed back to the default setting.
