thank you very much for your nice and engaged answer. Well, the way you asked, makes me believe its a conflict within the theme, because:
1.) When SEO is disabled, the problem is still there
2.) No conflict
3.) Yes current version (of both)
4.) Its only when it links to the start page (from outside social media FB)
Dunno how to check for Java script errors, but will find out.
However, it makes sense its not SEO (when its turned off ..), right?
I will go look into other support issues, I am prettty at my limits now with my small coding experience.
