    Yes. entering the code

    define(‘TWO_FACTOR_DISABLE’, true);

in the wp-config.php file did work, but when I tried to reset the functionality I was refused. Even I was unable to update the plug-in. There appears to have been some sort of permissions problem, but I was unable to discover one.

As a result, I was forced to scratch the old plug-in and install a new one.

Everything is working fine now. Thank you for your assistance.

Firstly, thank you for your response.
Secondly, just because my settings are different than the result I expect are wrong, does not place my assumption in error.
Thirdly, my settings have been set to HTML since the outset, and the default setting on my Mail software is HTML.

No, there is something else afoul. Do you have any more ideas?

You might be able to help by telling me the exact name of the file. “http://www.grammarcaptive.com/wordpress/index.php/feed” is not a file name, it is a folder name. This could explain why cURL is returning an empty string.

If you are able to provide the file name, please tell me where you found it, so that I might discover whatever else is in the same folder.

I suspect that there is more than one xml/rss file.

    kiusau:

OK. I have managed to open the page with a Chrome browser.

    Steve:

When I view the feed, it shows your posts in a valid RSS format.

My goal is to read the feed with cURL. Are you knowledgeable in this area?

This suggested piece of code draws a blank when the URL is replaced with http://www.grammarcaptive.com/wordpress/index.php/feed

Do you have any suggestion in regard to the cURL options that would permit me read and edit the page? For the ones that I am using have proven ineffective. They indicate a string with zero bytes, and clearly the page is full.

Steve: I looked over versionpress, but it does not appear that you can stage in two different places at the same time. All versions appear to be stored in the same place. Thank you anyway for the suggestion.

Jan: Yes, I have found my posts under my own profile, but they do not appear in the forum area in the expected time slots. I guess the order in the forum is according to the latest update, not according to the date and time of origination. Simply, my posts disappeared very quickly, and I could not understand why.

I am clearly new to WordPress and do not understand clearly how it works. Up until now I have been doing all of my work on my test server created for the purpose of development. Only recently have I uploaded a copy of my test server to my webhost server Lunarpages.

Is it even possible to run WordPress under the same account name on two different machines with, of course, different real, as opposed to virtual domain names?

QUESTION: Is it possible to maintain both a test server on one’s own computer and a web server open to the public on a host server? What I would like to be able to do is administer my public server from my test server.

I have tried everything imaginable and things keep getting worse.
These are the pages that I have looked at for help.
