    Hi George,

Thank you for the kinds words!

I’m afraid that we do not currently support the option to add two recipes on the same page. The reason it was not implemented is pretty straightforward – Google do not index the second recipe on the page. This means that even when using the correct HTML tags for the Google indexing engine, it will just ignore any recipe following the first one. This makes the information invisible to people who search for it online.

I understand that in some cases this issue would not be a problem to the blogger and we may add this option in the future.

    Kind Regards,

    Gilad

You are absolutely right, should have used clear words instead of the technical jargon 🙂

    Hi Heidi,

To add a recipe all you need to do is create a new post and then click the Kitchenbug icon on the TinyMCE toolbar. Adding a recipe is done directly from a post and not on a separate screen. After you add a new recipe it will appear in the Kitchenbug -> Recipes section.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi User,

The best way to start is by creating a recipe using the plugin. All you need to do is create a new post and then click on the Kitchenbug icon in the TinyMCE toolbar. This will bring up the “Create Recipe” wizard which will help you with the process. After you are done, click on view draft and you’ll be able to see the result on your post.

Users will be able to see the recipe after a post has been published and click on the print, “Dig in” or Collect (if you opted to add it) buttons.

Regarding user restriction, I need to know to what you are referring (creating a recipe, changing settings or viewing) in order to provide an answer. In general, we limit settings to administrators, while recipes can be created with any user who has edit permissions. Viewing is open to everyone.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind Regards,

    Gilad

    Hi Sean,

Can you provide a description of the steps (some kind of upgrade, permalink change perhaps, post update) which preceded this problem?

    Hi Karen,

Thank you for contacting us regarding these issues.

All your Kitchenbug recipes are saved in a specific table in your WordPress database. You can export these recipes using the “Backup Recipes” button on the Kitchenbug Settings menu. The recipes are exported in a recipe-type XML file. Importing them into a different plugin will probably be a bit tricky since they usually don’t support an import-type system.

Regarding the recipes themselves, we do not save them on our server, we only save the analysis since we update the nutrition algorithms from time to time. We do this in order to make sure that when a viewer clicks on the ‘Dig In’ button on a recipe published via the plugin he will always see the latest nutritional information.

The recipes do not appear on our website by default. However, Kitchenbug does allow anyone to collect recipes from any website using the Kitchenbug bookmarklet. So if someone likes your recipe they can add it to their recipe box.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind Regards,

    Gilad

    Hi Blogger,

We need some information in order to locate the problem:

    1) What theme are you using?
    2) What is the site URL?
    3) Does this issue occur when the Kitchenbug plugin is activated or after a certain action is taken?

    Hi Blogger,

First of all, I’m sorry for the hassle of a login to our plugin which we know is not the regular behavior of wordpress plugins. However, in order to block spammers and allow multi-site users the benefits of using our plugin, it’s a requirement.

If I’m guessing correctly according to your pseudonym, you registered via Facebook. I also saw a few login problems regarding this username in our log so it could be connected. Let’s try a simple re-login and see if it works:

    1) Go to http://www.kitchenbug.com. If you’re logged in you should arrive at the kitchenbug application.
    2) Click on the arrow next to your username and then click on ‘log out’.
    3) In your wordpress blog click on Ctrl+F5 (browser refresh) in order to verify that there are no old cookies.
    4) In a new post click on the Kitchenbug plugin, the login form should popup. Log into the application using the facebook button and you should be able to analyze a recipe.

If this doesn’t work then please let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Gilad

    Hi Carla,

We’ve tried to replicate the problem you saw, however without success. Can you let us know your blog URL? We’ll take a look at the site, try to replicate the exact environment and hopefully help you with the problem.

    Hi Feonix,

Can you elaborate a bit on which scripts you are referring to? I’m not sure I follow.
