Please note that you can set up the current date from the page where you have published the calendar, i.e. from the shortcode options. Date format Y-m(2016-05) or empty for the current date Please check the following gif as well.

Please try to reset the images and add the Watermarks again. Please click Select all images, choose Reset from Bulk actions and click Apply. Also, check the screenshot.
