In reply to: [Customizr] Spam-like link in my footer@electricfeet: Interesting perspective. I wonder if this is because you are a power user/sophisticated user. I have asked a number of people to review/critique the site and none mentioned that the disabled right click was annoying or problematic. But, “I hear ya!” and take this under advisement. Thanks for your input.

In reply to: [Customizr] Spam-like link in my footer@wpyogi: Thanks for your insights. I have shied away from watermarks because they affect the appearance of the images, but I will probably use lower res files, just in case. For now, the right click disabling plugin at least discourages the average visitor.
Resolution: Someone on the Fantastic Content Protector Free plugin support page led me to a button that turns off the “credit” footer. And it worked.
Thanks to everyone for your help.

In reply to: [Fantastic Content Protector Free] strange, spam-like linkI finally discovered the option to turn off the credit link and it worked. Thanks for pointing this out.
However, I have no idea what this has to do with credits as the link takes you to weird videos, not to Fantastic Content Protector. Anyway, it’s gone and that’s excellent!

In reply to: [Customizr] Spam-like link in my footer@wpyogi Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t know that. Are you aware of any plugins that are more effective?

In reply to: [Customizr] Spam-like link in my footer@rdellconsulting: Thank you for responding.
I assume that I have a “clean 3.0.10 installation” because I have not messed around with it. Or is it possible that it can get messed up from installing/removing plugins?
I began deactivating plugings and the very first one I chose (I was suspicious of it) is the problem. When deactivated Fantastic Content Protector Free plugin the problematic foot disappeared. When I re-activated the plugin, it reappeared. Because this plugin prevents right clicking on my site (which I want; to protect my images), I can’t “inspect” the footer. Anyway, I posted this on the plugin’s support forum and I’ll see what they recommend. Perhaps one must upgrade to a paid version of the plugin, although it doesn’t state that anywhere.
I’m not sure if I should mark this thread resolved or wait until I have an answer and post that here for everyone’s benefit.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@acub That’s sounds like a very logical approach. I’ll give it a whirl when I return from my short vacation. Thanks again for all your help.

In reply to: [Customizr] which CAPTCHA plugins work with Customizr? Thanks for your help. I settled on SI Captcha, which appears to be working well.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@electricfeet By the way, for what it’s worth: I never succeeded in getting the code that you posted to work at all (sans the >). The slider just kept working. The code that @acub posted didn’t fade, but it cause the images to cycle.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@acub I appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I’m really new to WP and CSS, so debugging, if I try it, will be a challenge and, I’m sure, very amusing. Visual: A drunk blind man walking along cliffs.
@electricfeet I played around with the time and display slide time, but without success. I did see that the display slide time changed how often the image cycled, but fade time didn’t change the effect at all.
Fortunately, I like the slider (although I remain envious of the fade.)

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@acub I deactivated, individually, each plugin, tested, reactivated. No difference. i.e. photos switch but don’t fade. I’m stumped. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@acub I assume that scripts are the same as plugins and I do have a number of plugins. I will do as you suggest and deactivate them one at a time to see if I can determine which one is the cause and get my mojo back.
@electricfeet Your transition looks great. That’s what I’m after.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@acub I followed your instructions and it only worked about 6 or 7 times. That is, the images (universityicons.com) no longer slide and now one image is simply switched to the next (but no fade in/out effect). But after about 6 or 7 switches, it just stopped switching and is stuck on one image.
Actually, the effect I’m interested in is for the images to fade in and out. Is there a way to do that? Thanks for your help!
p.s. I’m using the latest WP and Customizr versions.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@rdellconsulting Does that mean that what I did was wrong? i.e. pasting into the Editor. Thanks.

In reply to: [Customizr] Make tranisition in images fade instead of slide?@electricfeet Where do you insert this? I copied/pasted this into Appearance–>Editor and updated. But my images are still sliding. Is this the wrong place to insert this? If so, where? Thank you.
p.s. I do have a child theme.
