  • After many tries I finally decided to remove to ability to use it.
Not many people were using it anyway. My site and blog is about bamboo fly rods and building them so I do not really attrack that many visitors anyway. And those who do link back usually send me an email to notify me.

Thanks for all who tried to help me and sent messages.

Fixed the trackback part even with modified URLs
I don’t suppose its normal though that the page goes blank?

or do people normally just right click the link?

I By the way called it Search Engine Friendly URL because the module for my site that handles the url modifications is called SEF (Search Engine Friendly url module) I guess it’s a habbit 🙂 everytime I manage a new link I see that phrase in a big red heading. Search engines used not be able to read those links.

Thanks for your help so far Moshu, It’s much appreciated

The default theme had the same problem.
I too noticed there was no trackback link for posts with no comments and I will fix that.

The problem is that as soon as I choose serach engine friendly urls like

    http://www.keone.com/blog/2006/03/29/sample-post/

the trackback link sends me to a blank page with a wrong URL to send trackbacks to. WordPress generates a wrong url as soon as I start using a different option.

The default option works, even the trackbacks end up in my comments.

But I want search engine friendly url’s

Okay so far I found out that the blank page I was getting has something to do with the way permalinks are showed.

As soon as I use the default the trackback at least shows me the screen. OK the link moved <link>here</link>

now for the next step. I still want to have serach engine friendly url’s

I guess it has something to do with the .htaccess file?

the URI is posted correctly but it has /trackback/ added to it.

Does that ring a bell to anyone?
