Or better asked: How I can (temporarily but) completely (!) deactivate AIOWPS (via FTP?!) to check if the problem is caused by AIOWPS?

Clearing the cookies seems to have solved the problem. Well, that was easy. 😀
Thanks for your help! Thanks for the quick reply!
I also thought (or still think) that Chrome is causing the issue as it works in other browsers (and in incognito mode). But even if I turn off all my chrome apps, the issue remains.
Or what else – except for apps – is running in Chrome’s normal mode compared to the incognito mode that I could switch off or delete?I wonder how you concluded that GADWP may be the culprit?
As soon as I turned of GADWP, the dashboard worked again. And the day before, I updated Java and got the info that “Chrome no longer supports NPAPI (technology required for Java applets)”. So I thought that the statistics shown on my dashboard maybe have a relation to that info… I actually have very few knowledge about all this. ^^
Is this maybe the reason?
I might have a solution for this. Not a perfect one, but one that’s better than not using this nice plugin anymore or having a nonsense bar on mobile devices.
The solution requires another plugin: It’s called “Plugin Organizer” and lets you choose which of your website’s plugins are active on mobile devices and which ones are active on standard devices (desktop computers) only. It works! 🙂I decided to put a small link to a login page on my homepage, too. So on desktop computers, I have the “Admin Bar Login” plus the word “login” in my main menu. I can live with that. On mobile devices, I only have the “login” link.
You can check it out here.Cheers!

In reply to: [Admin Bar Login] Admin Bar Login doesn’t work on mobilesSorry, checking the threads, I missed the one that describes the very same issue. Well, I hope you’ll find a solution. I actually found one, but it requires another plugin: It’s called “Plugin Organizer” and lets you choose which of your website’s plugins are active on mobile devices and which ones are active on standard devices (desktop computers) only. It works! 🙂
Hi Janis,
sorry for the late reply. I was busy, but now I had the time to check several things and I have to apologize: Admin Menu Editor works like charm – as always. It’s been my mistake:
I use a plugin called “Plugin Organizer”. The plugin allows you to decide which plugins gets loaded first and which plugins don’t get loaded at all on certain pages… or in the backend. And that’s where I had your plugin turned “off”. I didn’t make this change recently, so I guess either your plugin or “Plugin Organizer” got updated and somehow this was effect.
I’ll rate you 5 stars in a couple of seconds. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your quick and polite help.Cheers!
Sorry, I don’t have another site. If I could just find out which plugins I recently updated… :/
I tried deinstalling and reinstalling the plugin twice, emptied all caches and also deactivated All in One WP Security. Nothing helped.
The settings URL is correct, but I still get the “permission denied” message. 🙁I just renamed the plugin via FTP and downloaded + installed the plugin again. It still doesn’t work.
I didn’t install any new plugins recently, but updated the installed plugins. I can’t tell you which ones I updated recently.
All other things you ask: no, I didn’t change anything here. I also didn’t change any settings in my “All in One WP Security” plugin recently. The specific error message is (in German):
“Du hast nicht die erforderlichen Rechte, um auf diese Seite zuzugreifen.”
Which means:
“You don’t have the required rights to access this page.”
The message also comes with the newly installed version of the plugin. Thanks!
Great, thanks for your incredibly quick reply. I saved my settings once, but now DLC has to be “activated” on every site by clicking on a small button-like box. I’m looking forward to the update. 🙂
Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work. I copied and pasted your code in my theme’s custom css, but it has no effect. Is it a problem that I don’t have the original WP button anymore, but my own logo? It’s still the same link though (wp-admin).
Here’s my website. May be easier for you to understand what I mean.
Thanks!
