In reply to: permissions issue on single site setupJeb I want to thank you greatly for your help.. I managed to figure out what the problem was finally.. Found this site http://forums.iis.net/t/1131285.aspx that gave me a hint towards what was going on.. I checked the default documents and infact it did not have the index.php file referenced.. So when it went to pull up the page, it died out due to none of the other documents existing in the directory.

In reply to: permissions issue on single site setupI have v5.4 setup on both servers, tho its under c:\program files\php\v5.4 which that really shouldn’t matter to much.. when I say sambda domain, they are sitting on a UNC share on a NAS. So permission are extremely different. I figured maybe its something to do with that so I setup WP on the local server itself to see if that helps but it still will do the same. Also did the same with mysql to make sure there wasn’t any kind of issue with it being on a different server. I verified on both servers mysql dll’s and the other dll’s i had on my working test server were enabled and in the ext directory. I am thinking maybe it has to do with php but what i am not sure.

In reply to: permissions issue on single site setupTried the above two and still no such luck.. Still gives me the same issue.
“This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.”
It will show the admin login page and after entering in the admin info it will display that.. If you enter the wrong password for the admin it recognizes that so its not a typo problem. Like i said before.. php manager won’t install on the shared configuration setup and this is all hosted on a samba domain using windows server 2008 web server.
