I just figured it out. I had selected “show advanced controls” under options-writing. When I changed it to “simple controls” the category options showed up on the posts page.
Podz, thanks for your help. I’m off to see if I can find something else to do wrong, so that you won’t get bored…

I think if you go to Links-Link Categories, you should be able to edit the “links” category name and that should fix it for you. Hope that helps.
