I think you are right. I had not seen events in my CleanTalk logs either. Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a look. π
One more thing, do you have any professional opinions on why this might be happening? What purpose does it serve to the spammer to flood my s parameter with spam? Is it just to create chaos?…. or can they do real harm to my site?

Hi. Unfortunately, I need to reopen this topic. It’s been about 3 weeks since I last contacted you. I updated the plugin and enabled the AntiCrawl setting you mentioned. It appeared to work (sort of) for about 2 weeks because the spam instances appeared to drastically decrease. Now we are being spammed again. I am not sure what to do. Could you give me some guidance on what steps to take to combat this? As I stated before, this is our first experience with spam, and we don’t really understand what is happening… or the repercussions of this attack.
Please let me know what kind of information you need from me.

Thank you! Sorry it took us awhile to get back to you. We updated the site and enabled the Anti-Crawler setting that you suggested. That’s fine that you marked this resolved. After I receive more SearchWP weekly email summaries to use as comparison, I will respond to this if the problem persists. Thank you for your help and have a nice day.

I don’t usually read the comments on blogs (because they can often get toxic), but I just skimmed them today and I saw that a woo employee appeared to respond to a comment saying “Hey, weβre shooting for Q1. I believe weβre just ironing out finalizing things and looking at release schedules. Iβll ping the right folks to confirm.“
So, I guess sometime before April… hopefully?

Hi, I want to check in with this issue. I notice this wordpress.org support topic is marked solved, but the problem persists. I have followed the github thread, but the bug I have found does not appear to have been fixed.
I just tried updating again on a staging site and the problem has now continued through woocommerce versions 7.8.0, 7.8.1, 7.8.2, and 7.9.0.

Ok. @amiralifarooq does that mean that this problem is solved? I noticed a recent woo patch update, but the changelog did not mention this problem. We are not updating woo until it’s figured out. Thanks!
