The host is GoDadddy…..they have said everything is fine on their end and will not help me further with this.
Here is the message on screen if you try “lost password”:
The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…

I already contacted my host and they said yes mail()was enabled.
I also already tried switching to wordpress@mydomain.com in the General Settings (which was another suggestion given to others with this same problem), but that didn’t work for me either.
I don’t know about SMPT or PHP mail() functions…………..sorry for my ignorance.
I am here because I just built a site with some 30 pages and needed a blog. I was told wordpress would be a breeze to set up, which it was….it just doesn’t function.
