In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] [Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Can't unarchive the zip fileHi Tom, Apologies it’s taken a while – busy times.
The previous errors are no longer occurring with the recent updates to the plugin (problem solved)
But when I try to ‘Backup Now’, the task is never completed and the resulting backup is incomplete as well.
I just transfered such a backup to another site, and found that not all content had made it into the backup. Any suggestions?
Thanks mate

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] [Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Can't unarchive the zip fileHi folks,
I’m having the same problem as CiaraT had initially. Can’t unZip the file.
(Error 1 – Operation not permitted)
Not sure how to follow Tom’s first suggestion which may help, since my backup is 1.15GB. I used Fantastico through Hostgator to set up my blog so I’ve never set up an FTP.
Unlike Ciara it’s an emergency, my blog’s been wiped 🙁
Thanks in advance,

In reply to: Advice For Slow Loading SiteOh – to add plugins, go to ‘Plugins’ on the side bar in your dashboard, click it. Then on the page that comes up, click ‘Add new’ by the title, then type the above plugin names into the search box.
Then just click install and follow the simple instructions.

In reply to: Advice For Slow Loading SiteTry adding the plugin ‘WPsmush.it’. This compresses the images you use.
Another good plugin which may help is WP Super Cache, which (like Smush.it) requires no work on your part, simply plug and play, it’ll speed things up.
But I see from your site that the main problem is large image files, Maybe someone else can come up with further solutions to help you…
Good luck!

In reply to: A visitor in Peru cannot access my site? That’s it Camu.
Using the default theme it works perfectly.
Now I’ve switched back to the theme I’ve been using (Flexibility 3), the subscriptions page is still working. I’d love to know why that happened!
Thanks for your help mate, I appreciate it. Have just given a 5 star rating based on plugin functionality and your support.

In reply to: Header and Ad images Disappeared!URL is http://jymtarrant.com
Header is simply absent leaving the color behind it showing.
2 of the three ads are showing a clickable text title link, the other is absent without a trace.
I just tried loading in Chrome, and they all work.
So maybe the problem is my Firefox?Any thoughts? Most people are viewing my site in Firefox!
Thanks for your help
It turns out W3 wasn’t even enabled!
Any other ideas? Thanks mate!
Hmmm…
I am running W3 Total Cache…
I added a slash at the end of the management permalink, Seems to be no different!
Any other ideas? Thanks Camu
Thanks Camu.
I read that one, but I don’t have any redirect plugins active, so it can’t be that.
Any other ideas?
Cheers!

In reply to: Published Post Disappeared! Thanks, I’ll check with them.
The comment left is still there on my comments page, just not listing as being attached to any post!
How would a backup get restored without my deliberately restoring it?

In reply to: header text broken, theme font over-riddenI took the underline off the header text, because I wanted to publish my post anyway.
I don’t mean the title text for the post, just the Bold in post headers. For example, the heading in the first line of the post on my front page “Ultimate Success Formula” is set to be ‘Heading 1’ which should be very LARGE text! As you can see, it’s the same size as the ‘paragraph’ text
Cheers
