I am also trying to change my site to 1000px wide.
I have followed your instructions Axel Ya, and now I have a sticky post as my main image which is showing correctly at 1000px wide, but nothing else seams to have changed.
I am a bit lost and hoping you may be able to shed some light on the problem for me 🙂
