I’m not against doing the research myself, I just don’t know where to look.
I need help as to what settings I should use for wordpress and all of the plugins that I listed above.
I read the Options screen for each one and although some of them are self explanatory, I don’t know what to set some things at. Here is what I’m looking for help with:
Under Options > General
– Anyone can register?
– Users must be registered and logged in to comment?Under Options > Writing
– Default mail category: If sending posts by email, will it only post in this category or can I set it to post in a different category?
– Also, can I set it up for Simple Tags to work when posting by email, or do I have to login for that?Under Options > Reading
– For syndication feeds, should I show full article or summary?Under Options > Discussion
– I’ve left everything with the default settings, should I change anything?Under Options > Permalinks
– What is category base and tag base for?Under Options > All in one SEO
– What settings should I use here.. Currently:
– Checked: Use noindex for Category, Archives
– Checked: Autogenerate descriptionUnder Options > Simple Tags
– I have no clue what to set here. There are a ton of sub-categories to configure. It’s talking about tags, tag clouds, rel=”noindex” on tags. I don’t know what any of this stuff is. I’ve left everything at the default settings.Under Options > Subscribe to Comments
