In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Bad Event Tracking CodeYeah, the classic false positive dilemma.
I have Google Analytics configured to ignore bots so I’d rather leave things the way they are, although maybe this is proof that they’re not doing such a good job 🙁
I’m going to ignore it for now.
Thanks for the help

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Theme My Login 6.4 Beta 2Just tried Beta2. It solves the two problems I was having since upgrading to 4.3 – password reset invalid key, and allowing users to generate/update their password.
But I find the Generate Password inelegant compared to Automattic’s so I posted an issue about that:

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Bad Event Tracking CodeI think this is related to how you (do/don’t) handle bots.
If I limit the period from Aug. 31-Sep 3 (after I deactivated RBR) and check the Landing Pages report, the most common Event Action by far for these bad events was ‘Comment’ (1840 times out of 1978).
I wish I’d had that many comments this week!
If I check Antispam Bee’s stats, these were the spam comment counts during that time:
Sep. 3: 471
Sep. 2: 587
Sep. 1: 452
Aug. 31: 404Total: 1914
Which is pretty close to 1840, and I assume the discrepancy comes from the difference in timing between Google Analytics and Antispam Bee.

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Bad Event Tracking CodeStill happening, even though RBR is deactivated:
The Landing Pages report has a (not set) entry. Verify that tracking code for property https://jobmob.co.il sends a _trackPageview hit and that it does this before sending any events.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Lost Password Expired key issue with WP 4.3Same. The error appears when you click the reset password link in the Lost Password email.
Plus I just noticed that my Lost Password email is a mess: just a single long paragraph, but I have no idea if it’s a TML issue (doubt it) or not.

I’m already missing this!

In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache - WordPress Cache Plugin] Working with only NGINX and PHP?+1 for nginx only
Thanks for clearing up the confusion.
I forgot that I’m using a custom password generating function, which must be why rolling back to 1.3.2 on 4.3 is still letting me generate passwords.
Once my password generation box is fixed – it’s from another plugin that hasn’t been updated for 4.3 yet – then I’ll be able to move forward and update to 1.3.3 and begin using the safer [password_url] in BNFW emails.

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Bad Event Tracking CodeJust updated to 1.1.0, enabled the new features and deactivated RBR. We’ll see how it goes!
Rolled back to 1.3.2 and my existing notification is working again, generated passwords and all

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Bad Event Tracking CodeThanks for troubleshooting this. Really appreciate it.
Actually, when I first installed BGA, I enabled User Engagement and deactivated Reduce Bounce Rate, but reversed the changes after 3 days.
While both plugins measure bounce rate more accurately, RBR fires Time events to measure how long people are really staying on the site, and Scroll events to measure how far down the page they scroll, and I missed those two things when I tried out User Engagement.
But if you think it’s RBR that’s generating the Bad Event Tracking Codes, I’ll create a new thread over there

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Widget doesn't always appear?Dashboard and everything else work great.
Maybe it’s a conflict with another plugin, or something in the theme.
I just changed the widget to show pageviews for 1 day. Initially it wouldn’t appear but after changing to users and then back to pageviews, I was able to get it to appear.

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Widget doesn't always appear? My blog is the main blog of a multisite setup but aside from that… I’m running on nginx. APC is installed but only used when W3TC is activated. I’m on EC2.
Is there anything in the plugin code that would, on fail, prevent the widget from appearing? Maybe it’s a javascript conflict?

In reply to: [Better Google Analytics] Widget doesn't always appear?Nope, I was wrong. I have left W3TC off since yesterday – deactivated even – but this morning the widget is no longer appearing. I checked Admin > Widgets, and the widget is still set to appear, but it’s not. So not a caching issue.
