In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Reporting / notification?The Media Library automatically generated multiple sizes of each ‘pre’ image and I can confirm the negative results for some of them, with the others were just ‘Reduced by 0.0%’.
But which dev version are your referring to? I’m already using 1.8.4.9 with the fix for Folders to Optimize.

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] Plugin filter on the home page?I just tried exactly that and sure enough, the disabled plugin isn’t called on the homepage. However, it isn’t called on other posts either. And this without ‘Also Affect Children’ being checked.

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] Is this plugin strategy doable?After taking a look, I see that I can now group plugins together such as ‘For Audio-oriented blog posts’ or ‘For Image-heavy blog posts’, and then turn that group on or off in the Edit Page for any relevant posts or via Plugin Filters. That makes organization a little easier and saves some time from needing to click on/off each time.
But I don’t see how I can apply a Plugin Group or even a specific Plugin Filter to a specific group of posts i.e. I don’t see how I can apply a filter to all posts but no pages.
Is that right?

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Reporting / notification?Even with debugging on, the log doesn’t show reduction details for each image although you might want to include an option for that, because clicking through over 100 pages of images in the table to look for this information isn’t something I was going to do.
So I just ran the S & O on my live site and copied the output to a file which I’ll send you. This reduction ‘growth’ happened quite a few times, only to gifs, looks like. In over 6000 images, it happened 48 times, usually by -0.0%-0.4% (yes, -0.0%), although there was also a -1.5% in there.
I’m assuming this was gifsicle. In terms of settings, I don’t have gifsicle disabled, and I don’t have gif-to-png conversion enabled.
Are there any other settings that could impact this?

But even with 5.0.2, there’s still something that doesn’t make sense.
I deleted all my plugin filters and left everything on in the Global filter. I then created a new Homepage Only plugin filter with permalink = http://mydomain.net/ (WordPress is configured for trailing slashes) and turned off some plugins in that filter. ‘Also Affect Children’ is unchecked.
Unfortunately-
This plugin filter does work on the homepage, but it’s also applied on all other pages/posts as if I had checked ‘Also Affect Children’. Essentially, this plugin filter is having the same impact as a global filter.

Once that’s done, I’ll give it a go with my live site.

Right- …/html/images is not my Media Library. My WordPress 3.8.1 installs are configured for Multisite, so the Media Library folders are in /html/wp-content/blogs.dir/…
Deleted debug.log, re-enabled Debugging and reran Scan & Optimize. Debug.log didn’t appear right away, so I ‘Empty Table’d and then reran the S & O. Now there’s a debug.log. I’ll zip it before I send it but it’s not very big…

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Reporting / notification?I tried this with a different site- used the root path as a Folder to Optimize. The only images that were then optimized were the ones in the active theme and anything that was in the Media Library.
