Hello; and thank you very much for taking the time to review.

my take on this revision of ultimate tiny mce is it is better for ordinary users and maybe not so much for developers.

Very interesting interpretation. You’ve hit the nail right on the head.

It was suggested to me by a few people to “tone down” my plugins; and try not to aim them at developers; but rather “normal” WordPress users.

I stopped using ultimate because of the constant advertising.

Yeah… well…. sorry about that. Lesson learned.

The colors for draft and status are interesting.

Thank you. And, agreed. It can certainly get a little “ugly” if you select colors that are too dark.

I use palleton for selecting color combinations that work well together. I’m color blind; so it’s even harder for me.

The one thing that needs to be added to the show ID option are taxonomy pages so category IDs will show.

I will certainly integrate this into the plugin; but I’d like to understand exactly what you are describing.

If you can provide me with the steps to replicate; and tell me exactly what needs to be done; I’ll add it to the plugin.

Again, thanks for the awesome feedback. Reviews of this caliper to two things for me:
1) Provides me with invaluable feedback; making me a better developer.
2) Makes WP Edit even better; user suggested features make up half the plugin.

Talk to you soon.

Hello,

-There are no buttons for Copy, Cut, Paste and full functinalities.

The Cut, Copy and Paste editor buttons have shown to not work consistently across all browsers.

You can test this by going to the Tinymce4 site and trying their editor.

The Cut, Copy and Paste buttons are under the “Edit” menu item (on the tinymce website).

See if you can use them successfully from different browsers.

-As far as the CodeCogs editor is concerned please fix the following:

While I think these are great requests; unfortunately, there is not much I can do. I would suggest contacting the developers of CodeCogs, and seeing if they are aware of the issues. Have you tested to see if the issues persist across multiple browsers?

Here is the CodeCogs Forum link. I’d look through there and see if any similar issues have been reported; and if not, create a new topic for each issue.

Hmm… Okay; I’ll have to do some further testing.

Let’s try one more thing from your end.
1) Go to the WP Edit settings page (Database tab).
2) Click the button to restore plugin defaults.

Please let me know if that does anything.

What theme are you using?
Can you try switching your theme briefly to see if the issue persists?

You need to go to the WP Edit settings page (Buttons tab); and click the button to “Save Buttons”.

Anytime a new buttons is added by me to the code (or an old button removed); it won’t show in the Button Placeholder until the “Save Buttons” button is clicked.

Then, you’ll see a nifty little admin notice at the top of the page explaining which buttons were added; or removed.

Hello, and thanks for posting.

I’m not sure I fully understand. Can you please provide me with the exact steps to replicate the issue?

Thank you.

Just FYI… this button has now been added to WP Edit (free version).

Okay. It’s been added to version 3.1 (just released).

Thank you.
I actually meant, did you have it enabled before you submitted this ticket?

But that’s okay πŸ™‚

Now, disable that option; and see if the warning goes away.

I’m trying to narrow down exactly what is throwing that warning.

Thanks.

Wow – Fast Response πŸ™‚

My pleasure, my friend. Sorry for my delay (been dealing with a Glenn Close lately).

Hello,
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Did you enable the option to use the “predefined styles”? (editor tab)

Hi Les,

There isn’t a way to directly edit the line spacing; but I think we can work around things.

How about inserting the following in the “text” side of the editor:

This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content. This is your content.

See if that adjusts the line-spacing for you.

@glgeorgiou,

Okay, I’ll take a look at adding the CodeCogs editor. Yes, that is similar to the last one in UTMCE.

I’ll double-check the licensing to make sure I can use it.. and I’ll try to get it added in the next update.
