In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This event has passed.I also noticed that multiple dates are appearing on a posting. For example, if you visit http://outreachteen.org/event/choices/, you’ll see March 26 (today’s date) and then the current time with 2 bars (one above, one below) which say “This event has passed.” and then the actual event date/time which has not passed yet.
Help! 🙂

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This event has passed.Barry:
I followed the steps on the page that you mentioned:
1. When I activated Twenty Sixteen, the problem resolved.
2. When I re-activated the “Charity is Hope” theme — and deactivated all plugins except for “The Events Calendar” — the problem still exists (“This event has passed.”)
Please advise on what can be done to resolve this since it is an issue between the theme and the plugin.
Thanks in advance!
Joe

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Events Not Showing In Any ViewIt was under “Display” under the main “Events” section of WordPress. Make sure that “Default Events Template” is selected. That’s what I changed mine to and it displays just fine! I hope this helps!

In reply to: No contact forms are workingThe hosting company (GoDaddy) told me that they couldn’t figure it out even though 4 different mail-related plugins don’t work on the server. I will not be using them anymore.

In reply to: No contact forms are workingWhat was the server problem?

In reply to: No contact forms are workingI tried checking with the hosting company but they can’t find any issue that is causing this.
One of the options in Contact Form 7 is to use SMTP, so I tried that as well and it didn’t work that way either.
These forms have worked on this hosting company’s servers before which is why I’m so stumped as to why it’s not working now.

In reply to: Duplicate "Leave A Reply" in comments areaESMI:
1. Deactivated all plugins. Problem still occurs.
2. Switching to Twenty-Eleven theme fixed the problem — but what does that mean about the Twenty-Ten one? 🙂
3. I don’t know how to reset the plugins folder. Can you advise on how to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Joe

In reply to: Leave A Comment Doesn't WorkPSM — Thanks for your reply. My friend somehow turned off displaying “Discussion” on her post and then the box to allow comments was unchecked as well. That has been fixed now. 🙂
Two more questions — if you don’t mind:
1. Now that comments work, there are 2 “Leave A Reply” fields for some reason. Do you know where this code is that might be showing the duplicates?
2. The words “Leave A Comment” blend in with all of the tags for the posting at the end. Do you know which file needs to be changed so that I can separate out the word “Leave A Comment” and make it more prominent?
Thanks again for your help!

In reply to: Updates and plugins “hang”esmi — I tried that, and when I went to my login screen, it outputted a TON of code and did not display my normal WP login screen.
Any other ideas? 🙂
(thanks for trying to help me so far)

In reply to: Weird Characters All Over The PlaceMoshu:
Thanks for pointing out that link. I’ve removed those lines and the odd characters are gone. Unfortunately, when you go to each posting now, you’ll see the following error at the top of each page:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/steelcit/public_html/blog/wp-includes/classes.php on line 88
Any idea on what’s causing this error now?
Thanks in advance,
Joe
