In my case, pasting in my API key added a space before AND after… when I removed these spaces, everything worked & fonts were showing.
NOTE: the plugin DID tell me the API Key was VALID even with the spaces: however, with the spaces, no Google fonts. Remove the spaces, all fonts show up!

I have a Google API key which is installed correctly (the plugin is telling me it’s valid) and have created a custom control… but when I go to edit it (or customize any of the other existing controls) I only see the Standard Fonts… the Google set, as seen in the video, is missing.
