workarounds like this are what make people move to things like Expression Engine for true content management.
I would like to do something similar to mihu, that is have a page template that displays the links from a certain link category dynamically, i.e. a directory. Would also want a main page that displays all of the link categories as links to the respective pages with links, dynamically. If I wanted to create pages with links I could just use a static html site. I have posted a request for help here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/198227

I also host on the grid server and have had the same problem in the last week. I suspect it has something to do with wordpress permalinks, since I got it to work on another wordpres blog on the gridserver but permalinks were off. Did you ever find a solution to this?
