It was a w3 total cache issue. Found it was disabled in wp-config.php. Enabled it there and could then login.
I cannot login to view settings. My host upgraded to WP 4 recently but I haven’t looked at the site in over 2 years, so no idea when it went this way.
The htaccess file is complex as I have a security plugin on there aswell as a caching plugin. When I tried a simpler htaccess file, I couldn’t even see the homepage.
No. I just upgraded the libraries. I also downloaded WordPress and uploaded the js directories in the wp-admin and wp-includes folders. Not sure which part of it did the trick, but its working now!
Fixed. Upgraded to latest Google Libraries.
