Sona–Thank you. The font should be a sans serif, NOT a serif. And it is not just bold, but BOLD. There must be a medium, or lighter version. The serif font and the bold both distract and make the captions cumbersome. And ugly. Those are my suggestions. Thank you very much.
Hi Sona– It almost seems like they deliberately included an absolutely awful, intrusive font to force people to go with the Pro version. As with so many other plugins. Thank you so much for letting me know.

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] menu does not line up under header imagehello TRNimen–
I still have not been able to move my menu from left to right, but at least i have solved the issue of aligning it to the [left] border of the header image. I found the answer on another forum (see link below) and it worked instantly. The menu is now lined up correctly underneath the left edge of the header.
If you have a child theme and are comfortable changing the CSS, here is the code:
.site-branding {
margin: 0.875em 0 0.875em 0;
}site-header-menu{
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
}and here is the link to the forum discussion. The discussion has been closed, but maybe you will want to see it:

Hope this helps you, too, and many thanks to the nice person who saved me a lot of time–I would have had to mess around with the CSS for a while!

In reply to: twentyfifteen default fonts don't ahow up in child themeThanks very much, I think that’s what I will end up doing. Even Typeface does not include the specific fonts I am looking for within their font families. Thank you everyone, for your kindness.

In reply to: twentyfifteen default fonts don't ahow up in child themeHi, thanks to both of you for getting back to me so quickly. I have the site on a local server, so canto share with you, sorry. It is a site about jazz, and the type fonts are pretty important to me.
I should say that the default fonts, Ubuntu and Open Sans, worked quite well with my subject when I tested out twentyfifteen in wordpress.com. The default font, when I downloaded twentyfifteen and opened it locally, was a serif font that did not work well. At all.
Am I going to have to use a plugin like Typecase, or connect some other way to Google Fonts, in order to get some decent type fonts?
Thank you again.
christi: my website.
sorry andrew, and thank you for clarifying!just made a donation to Philabundance, a food bank in Philadelphia. Thanks again, Christi!
Christi–
thank you again for all your help. serious about the charity, too….!
Christi–i recopied header.php menu info into the child theme folder. for whatever reason, the new copy of menu worked. thanks again for all your help!
Christi–just added your fix to the .site-content article class. worked like a charm. many thanks.
Christi–THANK YOU for everything. I will place this code in…i looked at everything I could think of to figure out WHERE to remove the border. I am sorry to ask you ONE MORE THING…but after the holiday, if you have a moment, the MENU is not showing up on the iPhone. Rather, it shows up, but it says ‘menu’ and is not clickable. If you have an idea what I am doing wrong (again) I will donate to your favorite charity in your honor. really.
greetings again, christi. And THANK YOU. i could not wait till after the holilday, it was bothering me too much. after working on this for a bit, i was able–following your instructions–to create a new DIV ID for the header and move it out of the white box. Thank you so much. and removed the box shadow around the image. a happy thanksgiving to you.
Christi–one more question, and I understand if you do not have time for an answer. there is a double horizontal rule at the bottom of each page, between the main content and the footer. i have looked through the code many times and cannot figure out why it is there. any help would be very much appreciated. I will get to the header fix as soon as i can after the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you again for all your help.
