OK, many thanks for taking to the time to help. I understand now and I guess it makes sense – although from a UX point of view it was much easier to have them all on a scroll bar. And I guess it stops users from send out messages with megaq-receipients. lol.
OK, I have disabled Search-All-Users and yes, there is now only 1 Friend listed in the test user that has only 1 Friend. Understand that now.
OK …. so are you saying that if a member has more than 12 friends (ie like 26) then the search will only ever return 12 of them? If so …. is it ordered in any way – maybe ‘most active friends’ or similar? Just so that I know what to write in the user-guide.

Just a question. If your code is producing 12 people …. what select is being used to produce them? They can’t be ‘Friends’ as my alter-ego member only has 1 Friend. Would be good to know – even though we’ll have to rewrite the user instructions LOL.
Hi. No, what I was seeing (last week) when it was a horizontal bar at the top I could see all 26 Friends by scrolling horizontally.
I’m certain about it because we were trying to write a user guide for our members and couldn’t figure where the extra people were coming from (as per my previous help ticket). I had two people also looking at it and they were seeing the same thing.
Hope that helps.
OK ….. logged in as Admin I have 26 Friends – also listed in mini-widget but there are 12 listed in the new conversation vertical bar.
If I log in as a test member ‘He’ has only 1 Friend (also matched in mini-widget) but there is also 12 listed in the new conversation bar.
Hello. Sorry, yes, it’s WP -> Buddypress. Search all users is enabled. Friends Mode is disabled.

Woooooooooo, wow …. that fixed it! And so quick an answer!
That was SUCH a great example of super quality customer service that I’ve experienced for quite a while from anyone. Thank you so much.

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] User search not workI’ve just had the same problems. I have auto update set on WP Members and both search and update had stopped working when I went to use them this morning.
But I had not seen the message on the Dashboard Home page which said that I had to click a button to complete the WP Members update. Now everything is working normal. Hope that helps?

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Cannot Update Users Details/Activate AccountChad …. oh dear, this is embarrassing. Sorry ….but I simply had not seen the message in Dashboard Home telling me to complete the WP Members update (I’m trying to convince myself that it’s something new?). But luckily my (female) co-Admin did!
All back working now.
Great plug-in! LOL.

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Cannot Update Users Details/Activate AccountChad – I’m afraid that I’m seeing the same issue. Tick the ‘Activate’ box for a new member, press update and absolutely nothing happens. Help! we have new members waiting, anyone got an idea of a workaround?

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Remove Remember Me checkbox@airdrummer Many thanks for the time and thought, but no. All that does is remove the tick box, leaving the label (causing even more confusion LOL)
However …. it did get me poking around in css again and finally remembered!:
Adding:
#wpmem_login label[for=”rememberme”] {
display: none;
}…. works a treat. Unless Chad says “..that’s not the proper way to do it” LOL
Thanks again
