Problem solved. I added the following trusted site http://*convalvpac.org (not https) and the problem disappeared. I’m not sure why that cured the problem…the problem started yesterday morning and I had not set up any restricted sites.

First I had tried adding https://*.convalvpac.org as a trusted site. That allowed me to get to the site, but the center of the landing page showed ‘not found’ (although the top, left and right side panels were ok). If I clicked on ‘Welcome’ the page appeared ok. Also, I couldn’t get to the WordPress admin pages for convalvpac.org/wp-admin.

Then I added the http://*convalvpac.org and the problem completely disappeared.
