In reply to: New Upgrade using Automatic fantasico-what will happen?Actually no, didn’t see any of them, but this site was covered in posts about people who were manually trying to upload the upgrades and were having problems. I am sure there are one or two that would get a problem from fantastico perhaps becus they need to then add back in the plugins or template. All the posts I read just in a few hours were about manual upgrades.
I am not going to do a manual for the time being. ๐ ๐

In reply to: New Upgrade using Automatic fantasico-what will happen?Just look at all the posts about the trouble with upgrading to 2.2. People missing sections, blog not displaying correctly, entire site missing, …this is why I dont do manual upgrade. For me its easier to do the one button fantastico and then just add my plugins back.
I feel for those people having trouble. ๐

In reply to: New Upgrade using Automatic fantasico-what will happen?I am not using the fantastico because I am lazy….I am extremely busy. I wanted to use it so that there would be no mistakes, as I have never done an upgrade on this software and I do not want to make errors. I have tried to manually upgrade my php message board and also my mooodle and each time errors were made.
A simple helpful reply was all I was looking for. Also just saying ‘manual is best” does not help either as my experience has been that fantastico upgrades okay but you loose your mods.
So I dont really want to manually do it, at this point because of error issues. I will think about it later on when I have a lot more free time to spend on wordpress errors. If it was a matter of just adding a folder I would do it, but always when I start the manual process there are errors and hours and hours of problems.
I dont have time for now…nor do I want to corrupt my current blog.I will take a look at the link you provided, I appreciate that and the simple YES answer and go from there.
Best Regards,

In reply to: New Upgrade using Automatic fantasico-what will happen?well none of this was helpful at all, except a lot of sarcasm. I will just live with the old version then.
Sarcasm and rudeness is not helpful to people, you might as well not post if you have nothing valuable to say.

In reply to: donate buttonI have deleted this plugin and have found a different source for a paypal plugin that works and is much easier.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: donate buttonThanks for this link …however it doesnt work. I downloaded the file, and that didnt work then I found thru reading only the ” comments section” that the plug doesnt work without some other plug. I downloaded the extra plug and that plug does not work. It shows up on the ‘ options’ bar as paypal button but when you click on it to ‘ edit your information’ it says ‘ error 404 file not found”
Its not working. So if anyone knows how to solve the problem. I tried to post a comment on the second ladies page and her blog is not accepting the comments either.

In reply to: Best Site Search Plugin????

In reply to: Tags- How do you make them have large and small wordsI C……that is what I thought. I suspected that it was the program I downloaded.
However what made me question that thought is that on the download page it is one of the most popular downloads and all the blogs I view….seem to have the large and small words.
SOOO if they are not using the most popular tag cloud widget I wonder what everyone is using?
Also I dont see the tags getting larger with use, as what one person said
So I am still wondering how to create this affect for your tags.

In reply to: stats not recording the last two daysWhat I found out from talking to Omry is that my template did not have a specific code that is needed to run the stats. Originally I was using the default template but a couple days into my new blog set up I changed the template and that is when the stats disappeared. So if you have changed the template then your new template might be missing the same code. If you didnt do that…then I dont know …and someone else will have to offer some suggestions.

In reply to: Tags- How do you make them have large and small wordsThanks Samboll. Okay. However inside my tag section on my site there is a LOT of stuff for you to edit and I left a lot of it alone since I didnt know what it was.
Do any of these things affect this? Like these things below that I dont know what they are-
1) Tag search base:
Please don’t enter a leading or trailing slash.
Output:2) Post tag separator string:
3) Cloud tag link format:
%tagname% โ Replaced by the name of the tag.
%fulltaglink% โ Replaced by the full link, e.g. http://site.com/tag/Coffee+and+Tea.
%taglink% โ Replaced by the link, e.g. Coffee_and_Tea. Can be used to create links e.g. to Technorati.
%flickr% โ Replaced by the encoded version of the tag which conforms to Flickr link standards., e.g. coffeeandtea.
%delicious% โ Replaced by the encoded version of the tag which conforms to del.icio.us link standards., e.g. coffeeandtea.
%count% โ Replaced by the actual number of times the tag has been used.
%scale% โ Replaced by the value the tag is scaled to.4) Cloud tag separator(s):
5) Tag count scaling minimum:
Use with the maximum scale to limit the range between your most popular and least popular tags.Forum: Plugins
