okay I followed the steps. I copied those two files to my main root directory. I got through all of the steps, but once I started to make sure the links would match up with the migration, I now get a Internal Server Error with this message:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@arttechteacher.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I can still view my site, I just can’t edit anything now.

ok Esmi, so just follow the directions for “using a pre-existing subdirectory install”?
