In reply to: Gallery width issue, can't change css for dl.gallery-itemLooks like that worked, I was more concerned about the spacing in between the thumbs, but this might actually work even better.
Thanks for the help!

In reply to: Gallery width issue, can't change css for dl.gallery-itemYa that’s the weird thing, I totally put the code in there, not sure why it isn’t showing up though.

In reply to: Gallery width issue, can't change css for dl.gallery-itemThanks for the reply, but it doesn’t look like that changed anything.
Any other ideas?
Frederick actually contacted me and tried helping a little, but we didn’t get anywhere unfortunately. But if you end up taking a look, I wish you luck! Let us know what you find.
Ya I’m sure if you kept changing the custom list that would work.
I also have a workaround where I add the gallery from Next-Gen, then manually upload them to my CDN using Cyberduck. But those both take 2x the work/effort. So, it yea, there are ways..just wondering if WT3C has legit way of doing it.Ya if you click on upload custom files it’ll re-upload everything in that folder. Right now I’m at the mercy of using the built in wordpress gallery which doesn’t always look right on our site.
Sad times USA.Just out of curiosity, what kind of custom files are you hosting (and how is it written under the custom file list).
I’m trying to get Next Gen gallery (wp-content/gallery/* to work and whenever I make a new gallery it doesn’t auto upload. I can however click on upload custom files and it’ll go through, but the folder is almost 1GB big so doing that after each new gallery added seems a little excessive 🙂
Grecy,
Not sure about your problem though I do know you can enable log files on the Rackspace side so maybe that’ll help to see what’s going on?I have a question for you however. With auto upload, do you have it setup to auto-upload files in your custom list? If so, have you gotten it to work successfully using Rackspace CDN? It’s been a problem I’ve had for month and have never been able to figure out why.
THanks and good luck with your issue!

In reply to: w3tc cdn auto upload – confusing/not workingHey Roliat ever get an answer to the auto upload question?
Hey Roliat, no go as of yet though Frederick has been looking at my site.
I think there was a miscommunication so I explained it again.Basically we’re having the same issues, mine just happens to be with gallery stuff, but I don’t believe any files within the custom list are automatically detected and uploaded on the fly like images are within a wordpress post (media attachments).
I can’t really think it’s the galleries’ fault though ya know?
Maybe I’m just missing something with the w3tc auto upload. Let me know if you come across anything that might help our little adventure 🙂Ya, if the default gallery wasn’t crap I’d just stick with that as the CDN picks it up with no problem.
Maybe if Frederick can pop in and offer some help, we could close this case.
Yes, but I suppose that’s because W3TC automatically uploads any media attached to a post (since the hosted attachments option is checked).
Granted I’m doing a few things different since I’m not running a multisite.
I’m just using the wp-content/gallery/ path and not inserting my blog idea. As I said before, it’s able to pick up the files when I click the upload custom files button, but it doesn’t do it automatically.
The site is mmomfg.com, you can see the files are being served from my Rackspace, just not Next-Gen Gallery files (unless I manually put them up there which is a real PITA).
Unfortunately it didn’t work robnal.
Reuploaded the custom files but after adding a new gallery and waiting a few minutes for the auto upload to kick in, it doesn’t appear to be working.I do appreciate you taking the time to help me out though.
Any other ideas?
