In reply to: Home page links to stats in dashboard.@davidajr (et al.)
I just checked this out with my site and I can’t seem to get a “hit” on the “home page” that comes up in the stats, but I can get hits for the static page that I have as the home page “Genuine Thriving” and for the posts page “Blogs.”
(When I say I can’t get a hit, I’ve opened my website in a different web browser from the one I’m logged in, and I go to said page, then refresh the stats to see what page was counted as “visited.”
So… This issue is still current for me, in that I still have three different “pages” receiving hits… My static page, which is my home page “Genuine Thriving,” something called “home page” (which appears to be a link to my static home page), and ALSO for my posts page, titled “Blogs.”

In reply to: Home page links to stats in dashboard.I don’t think so because I have a specific page set-up for that on my site and in my “Stats,” I see hits to the “page” I have set-up (for the posts) as well as the “home page” and my “front page.”
My home page is called “Genuine Thriving” and my page of posts is “Blogs.”
I see stats for three pages:
1. Genuine Thriving
2. Blogs
3. Home PageWith Love and Gratitude,

In reply to: assigning "www" to domainI can see why you’d want to have the www show-up in the domain, phenomenoodle, and I know that there has to be a way for it to work (without messing up your Google XML plug-in, because I have that).
I had my brother-in-law (who hosts my site) fix it up so that it loads with a www rather than without.
Personally, I think it looks more professional and while it’s a minor tweak, I suppose for those of us who are a bit particular, can understand. 😉

In reply to: Home page links to stats in dashboard. This has now changed for me.
Instead of “home” linking to stats.wordpress.com, it links to a different version of my homepage.
I have a page called “Genuine Thriving” whose link (when hovering over in the stats) is: http://www.GenuineThriving.com.
When I hover over “Home Page” in the stats: GenuineThriving.com.
Not sure what to make of this, but it’s interesting.

In reply to: Home page links to stats in dashboard.I’ve noticed something similar.
I have a static home page (called something other than “home”) and I also have a link in the main navigation bar (called home).
When looking at my stats, the page that is my actual home page “Genuine Thriving” has page views, but then so does “Home Page” and like the original poster stated, it links to “stats.wordpress.com”
I have not tried what esmi has said to do, mainly because I’m not too concerned about it, but wanted to write this response to let the poster know that they’re not the only one.
