In reply to: posts_exists() casts error that the function does not existRight. And even though I misspelled it here :), that is the function I called :post_exists()
I copied it right out of the Developer documentation.
Thanks!
I set this up using one of the default WP Themes: twentytwelve
I have a CPT and all posts to it get assigned a specific category.
I restricted specific CPT and the category. I created a custom page to redirect to with a “Sorry…” message for members with too low role.
I access the archive page from a menu item that links to the custom template archive page for that category.
Everything is still exposed when logged in with my test user who does not have privileges.
So far, the plugin is not working for me.
40cooper: More details please?
We have also discussed making the many features in the Pro version a bit more modular, but we haven’t made any firm decisions on this as of yet.
Oh my, what do you mean by that?

In reply to: [ACF Frontend display] Seems like not to work with ACF PRO versionSirmacik,
I can understand your concerns of expense.
There are ways around that and I would encourage you to look at those mentioned as well as allowing the author to work with you. I found your plugin on the ACF site where you posted videos about your plugin. Unfortunately, it does not apply to the solution overall.
Realistically, if you want your work to be useful going forward, you will need to look at the reality that ACF 4.x is no longer being developed.
I hope you understand this as encouragement to continue your work. I sincerely hope that you do. I am sure if your solution is good, you can easily find 9 more people besides me that would be willing to donate $10.00 to your work to pay for a developer version of ACF.
Regards,
John

In reply to: [Events Maker by dFactory] No Calendar displayedWell, it was on a clean install and with Event Maker and Polylang. It’s a “proof of concept” install. I am using the latest Twenty Twelve WP template with no modifications.
That should not happen, I have no idea what might be the issue. To be true, I’m not convinced that the [empty] output comes from our plugin.
Well, it is interesting also that is outputs “nothing” if I used an EM shortcode. I have tested this with the EM generated page and with a manual page using the shortcode to try and invoke the display with a calendar.
Ok… What I just did was try another install of everything. Before I had EM already installed, but an older version. I did the update. This time EM is a fresh install.
I don’t no what was wrong. I do appreciate you responding.
Thanks

In reply to: [Events Maker by dFactory] No Calendar displayedI appreciate the reply, but the site is on my laptop under a MAMP account.
Would there be any diagnostic logs or other ways to get you what you you need? Is there something specific you might be looking for that I could be “eyes” for?

In reply to: [Front-end Editor for WordPress] Custom Fields support+1
Oh, I donated to the cause. I would suggest you do as well if you can.
No, I don’t work for these folks or have any other association other than using the plugin.
I heard about this one from the folks at WPML.

In reply to: [Academica] Home page show posts from one category onlySorry for the dupe. My refresh error after being interrupted.
esmi,
Staying off FB does not in my opinion make you “anti-social”.
It demonstrates great wisdom.
I also thank you for your contribution!

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Running a migrated on localhostAh! The issue is this plugin does not like playing nice next to Formidible Pro
Any solution besides not using one or the other?
Thanks
