Thank you for the great feedback! The color coded messages would be a great addition. It got me thinking of other common issues we could warn users about. I will pass these suggestions along to our development team.
If you want a breakdown of what images have been optimized and how much savings you are experiencing you can find it in the Media Library.
We do a lot on our blog about image optimization and compression if you are interested in getting more training on Smush. However, they mostly focus on the pro features. I hope that helps. Thanks for the follow-up!

Sorry to hear you are having issues with Custom Sidebars. 🙁 I looked for your support thread and could not find one. Could it be under a different user name? We would love to get it working for you but if it was today that it stopped working I am not sure support would have had any time to respond. Did you run an update or change themes?
