Oh my….. resolved. It was a caching plugin update that messed with my wp-config file. Corrected the wp-config file and it works. Beuatiful theme! Thanks everyone on this support site. It;s great.

the really funny thing.. it shows properly in my chrome as long as I’m logged in.. as soon as I log out from a wordpress dashboard.. puff, it’s gone to a generic blank slate mode.
just for fun, let me mention that http://beyondtheco.de/ loads perfectly, including the social widgets in the header and everything.. really cool theme.. exactly what I was looking for.. just if I could get it work.
