In reply to: My wordpress has an error. Cannot vist siteIf you deactivated the theme at some point, you likely just need to go back to menu settings and set the theme location.
When I deactivate it & change it to another theme, it still has the same error. So I can’t even use my dashboard..

Have you just updated to 4.2.2? Have you tried the support team for the theme.If you FTP into the server and rename the folder and you have one of the WP themes that should work.
I’ve done that, it isn’t too do with my theme. I tired adding shortcode via the dashboard and then I got this error. I’ve changed my theme and it still comes up with the error.
I’ve removed the code from my formatting.php and I fix the error but having no menu on any of my pages.:/

In reply to: My wordpress has an error. Cannot vist siteSorry I looked at the wrong url. I was looking at http://makebelievegroup.co.uk/ and not http://makebelievegroup.co.uk/sitedev. If you have a working copy of the main url why not back that up and restore it to the sitedev folder?
That’s not the wordpress website. /sitedev is the new website.

Using FTP or your host provided file management tools, rename your current theme folder
/wp-content/themes/salient
to:
/wp-content/themes/salient.bak
Make sure you have another default unedited theme in the /wp-content/themes/ folder (upload one if you don’t).
Make sure to clear your local browser cache and force a page refresh when attempting to browse then to your site.
If that does not work, perform a manual install/update of WordPress.

You might want to rename the plugin folder to see if it is possibly a conflict with a plugin if the changing the theme does not work.I’ve changed my plugin folder name, but still nothing.
I’m going to updated wordpress and get back to you, thank you for your help guys. 🙂

I tired adding shortcuts last night, then error happened.
