Thanks! And sorry for the delay in my reply.
I actually centered it how I wanted it by changing to using Jetpack widgets for the images, they are good and resolved my problems–didn’t have to enter extra CSS code then.
Thanks so much for your help!

In reply to: [Sela] want less padding underneath text on grid pageThanks Kathryn!
Will read those articles. I really appreciate all your help.

Sacredpath,
Thanks very much! Worked perfectly.
I do have a Custom CSS plugin, thanks for checking.
take care,
IreneKathryn,
Thank you SO MUCH! Code worked great for centering footer widgets.
I wasn’t clear in explaining the second part of my question, let me give it a go again.
I am wondering about code to center the Front Page Widgets (three main ones that show up on Sela’s Front Page Template).
I tried a version of your code there for the footer widgets with the words “frontpage” instead of “footer” but it didn’t work–any chance you could post code for the Front Page Widgets centering as well?
Thanks again so much!
And really sorry about bumping, didn’t know what that was or the etiquette surrounding it, won’t do it again.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Sela] removing sidebar/centering text content on pagesHi,
I actually figured out my own solution, so wanted to reply so that this is taken down.
Silly me, I hadn’t tried using a different page template–so I used “Full width” template instead, and it centered the content for me.
Great! Hope this helps others!
Irene
I am wondering this same thing–if I can have the text content of the Front Page that currently shows up on the hero box, instead just sit beneath the featured image, and above the three widgets.
Any help much appreciated@
Irene
Hello, anyone have any ideas about this?
Just checking back. Any help much appreciated!
Thank you.
Kathryn,
Thanks,
“The Sela stylesheet includes styles for those headings, and although they may not be used in the theme, you may choose to add them yourself to your content, within the post editor”
answers just what I was wondering about!
Best,
IreneI do actually have another question that is not about Testimonials section, but is rather about the Headings in Sela Theme.
In my customize bar, I see that I can change text fonts/colors etc for Paragraph, Heading 1, Heading 2, …to Heading 5. I have two questions about these Headings.
1) When I try to change the font of Heading 2 (which is the tagline of my site), nothing happens–the text sort of ‘blips’ as if it were going to change but then doesn’t. This only happens with Heading 2 (Heading 1 I can alter and it will change it immmediately to the new font). Any ideas why this might be happening or what to do about it?
2) What are settings for Headings 3, 4, and 5 changing? I can’t find any headings on the site that change when I change these settings, and there doesn’t seem to me to be obvious things that would be labeled as Heading 3, Heading 4, or Heading 5. Any clarity on which headings those settings refer to?
Greatly appreciated!
Irene
Thanks so much, Kathryn and Bojan.
Kathryn your code worked perfectly and also allowed me to change the color of the testimonial text in question. I have google fonts plugin so it worked well.
I did make my site visible for the day, feel welcome to see how I fixed it:
