For your information, you can set any of your WordPress page as your Home Page by following the steps mentioned below:

1) Go to Dashboard->Settings->Reading Settings.
2) Set your Front Page Display settings to Static Page option with your desired Page.
3) Go to Dashboard->Appearance->Theme Options->General Settings and turn Off the Front Page.

yes, you can resolve your issues using custom css, you just have to paste the code given below in Custom CSS section (Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard.

.social_logo {
    display: none !important;
}

#nav-single {
    display: none !important;
}

.comment_section {
    display: none;
}

Hello,

Let me clear you that there are some updations done in both the version of the theme i.e. lite and pro version.

So it would be better to hide testimonial section with the help of CSS code rather than deleting the code in “homepage.php” file.

Even you can use the latest version of the theme and there is one awesome feature included in that you can directly turn on/off the testimonial section from your dashboard.
