Hey Martcol.
No worries. It seems I went to blue host and renamed my plugins list and deactivated them there. I called them and they just clicked back onto the original folder for me!

the problem is that i need to reinstall plugins. I do not have a list of the plugins I had and wp is not listing any plugins for me to reactivate. Also when i try to install any plug in it is not allowing me to do so.
