Currently we active test a NextGen Gallery update that we have worked for more than an year and a half in order to exclude a legacy framework ( Pope ). That should bring visible performance-wise improvements for everyone.
After this release we’ll probably look forward to NextGen Gallery backend UI redesign the main points we intend to perform are revamping how “Manage Galleries” and “Manage Albums” work.
We are sorry but implementing a new print lab service is not an easy task. While it apparently may sound like something easy to be extended – that’s not. It’d require us to revamp a lot of things that are present with the current integration basically rewriting most of it in case of finding a different printlab that offers a good API we can connect to.

Thanks for asking us. While there’s such a possibility to add image text captions to the images, NextGen Gallery was never intended to display long portions of text so it may not be a good fit for this purpose.

We are sorry to hear of your experience. Checking our records it appears that you’ve only canceled your renewal payments and did not asked us at support for a refund within a 14 days period of time. We issue no questions asked refund for everyone asking during this term.
You’ve mentioned that you are furious with us charging you initially for the account when that was the payment charged for the access to our premium plugins. I am sorry for mentioning that but this is like asking a company to return the money for a product that you’ve already used for some time and then decided to go with a competitor.
To avoid cases of refund policy misusage we had to dedicate a separate chapter for the refund policy within the Terms & Conditions to clearly state what are the expectations: https://www.imagely.com/terms-conditions/

Unfortunately, there’s no such a possibility to index the images from the /ngg_tag/ pages. If you don’t like that your SEO tool detects this taxonomy, resulting in many empty entries, you can simply disable it from “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneous -> Disable the /ngg_tag/ page”.

Thanks for your reply. Agree, this doesn’t look to work as it should. Could you please let us know if you’ve tried to test if the caption displays properly with a different lightbox effect such as SimpleLightbox?
It may also worth checking for a theme conflict by temporarily switching to a theme from the Twenty series to see if that’ll change anything.

We are sorry but checking the gallery page you’ve mentioned it doesn’t appear that any of the images display any captions in Fancybox. Perhaps you’ve done some alterations in the meantime?
I’d also double check to ensure that the captions were added to description field of the images within “Manage Galleries”. Fancybox cannot display the images title captions.
