In reply to: Home Tab Points To localhostThanks James for looking.
Yes those settings are correct. Here is a link to the image. I compared my original practice site with my final site.
The inspect element > hrefs are highlighted.http://imgur.com/delete/n2A8WL3NTlPn8kx
Can you please help resolve this ?

In reply to: 'Home page not available'Dan, thank you.
Your response reads 42 minutes ago but it just came in.I understand what you say.
But I am unfamiliar with a strategy for searching for all instances of local host in the database.
Can you be a little more detailed.
I have been randomly looking around.
🙂Also, yes the path is as such since I have ‘a few projects’ on this remote host and there would have to be many index.pho files.
Thanks,

In reply to: 'Home page not available'WordPress only allows editing for 10 minutes. I tried to edit within a minute on an ipad and macbookpro but this is broken – rolling back to forum page.
Here are some typos fixes.Hi,
I developed a theme locally and uploaded it to a remote server.
Everything works fine except for the HOME TAB.When I was modifying, copying and then deleting files, I corrupted a path.
In MySQL wp_options
Siteurl http://mydomain.com/project1
Home http://mydomain.com/project1WordPress Dashboard
Settings > general >
Wordpress address(URL) http://mydomain.com/project1
Site Address (URL) http://mydomain.com/project1WordPress Dashboard
Settings > reading >
‘Front page displays your last posts’Main issue is that the page loads with a HOME TAB
But once I navigate away from it and click the HOME TAB to go back
Error ‘could not connect to the server’
It is pointing to
URL IS localhost:8888/project1
I cannot find where this path is set.Maybe the following has something to do with it.
I have been a little confused about these 3 files.
Home is index.html and from dashboard ?
You cannot see or edit this page from within the dashboard.
In dashboard > pages
blog.
Front.
Blog is which file ? Page.php. ? Content.php. ?
Front is which “php file ?I no longer have a ‘page’ called Front. I either renamed it or deleted it.
Maybe that means something.Thanks.

In reply to: Developed theme on localhost; how do I back it up ?I understand exporting and importing the database.
It is all of these other files. For example, I once tried to create a new project and then just copy ‘all’ to the wordpress files into this new project but it didn’t’ work.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Developed theme on localhost; how do I back it up ?Hi and thanks for responding. I am comfortable. Using the command line.
I have installed MAMP both manually and now I am using the MAMP GUI interface.Since I have been delving into many things these last few months and going back and forth, can you provide more specific directions ?
I want to learn to do this is the most organized, logical and easy to restore way.
Thanks.
