Ok, i will check what you answered just before my second message…
Just to say : EOT time is not really interesting because i can also handle it manually, but the price/button which is interesting + the form to fill out + the redirection to a specific download page…
So, let’s say i can not go around membership, means people must become member.
Can i :
– Buy button (membership for 2 hours, 15 euros for example)
– PayPal
– send email with generated password
– connection for register with a formHow can i redirection the registered person to the specific download page which is ONLY for this person (which will not be protected from other members but they can not find the link to it) ?
Can i have buy buttons for 20 different prices for the same membership level ?
Thanks Cristian ! However i would not like that the visitor must register as a member. But let’s say, he becomes member for one day and during that day he can have an access to the download page. There are two problems : 1) When i will have 20 products with 20 different prices, how will select members who payed the amount of the product ? Because there are only 5 levels of members, so i can have 5 different prices…
2) I would like to redirect people from PayPal to the product page. But if i base price on member level, i can redirect the same level members to the same page, but maybe those people wanted 5 kind of product. redirection should be to the product what they have choosen.I do not know Membership Options page variables, where can i find it ?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Incoming Links] Nothing happensThanks for your quick reply… i guess i misunderstood the aim of the plugin, i thought it shows website pages where they put links towards my website… 🙂 Your plugin is useful but i have something else where i can check referrers, so I need another plugin.
Thanks again !Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My wp blog of my website does not work well in IE11I found the problem and i publish here, maybe someone will have the same problem in IE versions…
In the
<head>i had invalid meta tags which blocked several scripts and css3 styles in IE versions (except IE9), for example :<meta content='fr-FR' http-equiv='Content-Language'/> <meta content='IE=EmulateIE7' http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible'/>You can check it iby W3.org validator : http://validator.w3.org/
Good chance !

In reply to: Avatars for dummiesNothing was complicated… the problem is that the older users are much more experienced, so they can not think like a new wp user and they start to complicate life with complicated questions and explications and they wonder if new babies start to learn the environment 🙂
Very nice gravatar you have !
Thanks for the theme name, i will get it as this incorporation of the blog is interesting…
Have a nice day ! 🙂

In reply to: Avatars for dummiesYour website is nice, i like that it is clear, understandable, simple but nice ! 🙂
And you made a nice job, how did you “embed” the blog ?So, your blog is self-hosted because the address is not http://your-website.wordpress.com, forget all about wordpress.com !
Yes, i think the better way to have your avatar is to open an account in Gravatar’s website, use the same email address what you use to your website and wp admin. Then go back to the Discussion page and choose Gravatar… In this case you will have your own gravatar image and everybody will have their own image identified by their email addresses if they have gravatar account. If not, they will get the default gravatar icon.
If you customize the default avatar of your wp blog and you choose it, it means everybody will have the same image, it is not so fun in my opinion…

In reply to: Avatars for dummiesI say often “i guess” because English is not my mother language, also i picked it up by myself, not in a school, so i must be careful if i understand everything well… 🙂
If you use an external plugin which manages the avatars, i can not help you, i do not know “User Avatar” at all…
If in the discussion page, it does not want to do what you want or it does not show what it should be there, it is probably that your plugin commands…
I think the difference between wp.com and .org :
wordpress.com hosts wordpress hosted wp blogs and cares about those blogs, and wordpress.org helps for those blogs which are self-hosted. Here for example, in this forum which is wp.org, we talk about self-hosted wp blog problems. However you are right, there is a confusion because i have also an account on wp.com too and its link structure is completely confused, so i can get into my self-hosted blog via wp-admin bar (as far as i remember, however, i do not go to wp.com to avoir confusions).
I am asking myself now that we talk about this issue if it is obligatory to have a wp.com account or not, i started long time ago… 🙂Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Avatars for dummiesIf you do not want to use Gravatar, neither the default avatar or the others but your custom avatar, i suggest you to look at this page : http://wphacks.com/how-to-changing-the-default-wordpress-avatar/

In reply to: Avatars for dummiesI guess only what you are talking about !
You see an avatar up of the right corner in the wp admin bar… i guess it is coming from your Gravatar account (do you have one ?)
If you want to see the same Gravatar avatar of yours in the comments, you must go to your admin dashboard -> Settings -> Discussion and check what kind of default avatar you use for the comments… then tell us here !

In reply to: Website is not visibleHello,
i did not undesrtand what you would like exactly…do you want to have an URL of your blog starting with www ?
what do you want to say : wordpressaddress-siteaddress ? your question is more understandable if your blog part is wp hosted but it is not your case…
anyway, your wp blog is in a folder called /blog/, it is you who installed there, so the URL definitely will be www (or without) . your website . com / blog /
if you put your wp blog in a subdomain, it can be like this : http:// name of your blog – subdomain name . your website . com

In reply to: What do I do with website subscribers?I forgot to say but i guess you saw also that you can give a role for your members (same in the general option of the dashboard). Please make sure that you do not let them write or use your admin or give a role important.
It is a good idea to send them that kind of message, then you can see 1, if their email works or you will get back the mail delivery Error report, 2. if they are realy interested into your website/product, you can have clients or traffic at least on your website…
BUT : open a new email which you do not use for other things or for things which are important, only use for your members, so if you get too much spam, it will not disturb your important email traffic…
I am sorry but i do not know anything about Jetpack, but i do not think that you will be able to transfer the members there… must be checked more on the web !
Have a nice day 🙂

In reply to: What do I do with website subscribers? Also take care, 98% of those subscribers can be hackers, spammers, this traffic is extremly huge ! But you will recognize them after a while (if you do not have experience), for example often their email address is xokdtrruf@hotmail.com or something which shows that they created a whatever address to use it for their shit… 🙂
