I do agree but if it is related to be theme specific I am still in the same position.
Because its a theme from themefuse.com and they are not replying to support emails I am at a loss on how to rectify the issue if it does in deed turn out to be a problem with the theme.
So I was kind of hoping that wordpress experts on the forum would be able to see what is causing the issue if it is theme related, as I am at a total loss of what could be causing this

My theme is from themefuse.com but not heard anything back from them in case the problem is theme related?

I have just been to settings > media settings
And unchecked the ‘crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional) checkbox and the problem is still there?
Does anybody else have any other suggestions that will resolve this bug?
My web host has said the problem is because the site was hacked there was still some malicious code/content within your site when you carried out the update. This has then led to the site not functioning properly.
However I don’t think this is the case, based on just doing a simple google search lots of wordpress users are having the ‘add media button’ problem and widget problem since upgrading to WordPress 4.0

I am not getting any javascript errors (using chrome) it is just not doing anything when I am clicking on the ‘add media’ button
When I visit the media library page it is displaying a blank page where the media would usually show up
And in the widget area of the admin when trying to open a widget it is not doing anything

I have renamed the plugin folder via FTP to plugins-off and tried again but it is still the same
Add new media button not working
Widgets in the admin not working
Media library blankWhat else could it be and what could I try?
Is Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb error an actual error or something that can be hidden using the code below in the php.ini file
