In reply to: 500 Server Internal ErrorHi. I got it. I had changed the database password which caused the problem. I went in and changed the password in the code as well and that solved the problem.

I was able to add that code to (i think) the database somewhere on the footer and save. It resolved the problem and I had to go in and take off that code again that I used to resolve the problem and the blog kept working fine until now… I wish I could remember specific details/steps I used then to share with you…

I have been using the Default theme 1.6. How do i access the server error log from Godaddy? Thanks again for your help.

I was trying to do a backup on my blog http://www.ibdabo.com/blog via my godaddy cpanel when I got the problem: “500 – Internal server error.There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.” Can someone help pls? I’ve been seing threads regarding .htaccess file but not sure if that relates to my problem or how to resolve it.

That might be something else… I have tried using IE 7.0 and 8.0, as well as Firefox 3.5 but still encountering the same problem…

Please note that my blog is installed on my Godaddy account… Regarding the htaccess, Shane, how do I go about that? Many thanks… I already upgraded yesterday to 2.8.5 but that did not resolve the problem.
